DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY
THURSDAY, JULY 26, 2018
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME

HUMIDITY, MOSTLY CLOUDY SKIES, SCATTERED SHOWERS
AND A WARM SOUTHERLY WIND CONTINUE….

The wind continues to be from the south with a few
strong gust in the 5 o’ clock hour of 35 kts (40 MPH).
During the day we had frequent gust over 22 kts
(25 MPH). Overnight temperatures continue to be above
normal with a low of 71F so far today. This is 8 degrees
above the daily normal of 63F. So far today the day time
max temperature is 82F. This is 1 degree above the daily
normal of 81F. Dew points remained close to 70F for most
of the day, making for another sticky day on Great Blue
Hill. The high humidity caused a fog which obscured
visibility for a max of 40 miles by 10:00 A.M.
Showers have been scattered over the past few days and we
measured 0.19 ins of rainfall at 7:00 A.M. with about 0.07 ins
falling so far this morning. A short shower moved through today
just before 9:00 A.M. for an additional trace of precipitation
by 1:00 P.M.
