DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY

CLOUDS INCREASE FROM PARTLY SUNNY TO OVERCAST
WITH A FEW PASSING SNOW SHOWERS…

The Nor’easter which spanned Wednesday night into
Thursday morning left 15 inches of snow on top of
Great Blue Hill. Today skies started partly cloudy
but clouds began to increase before the 10:00 A.M.
observation. Skies remained overcast with a few
breaks for the rest of the day. With the increase
cloud cover we also had a couple quick moving
snow showers pass over, which only left a trace
of snowfall by 1:00 P.M.
Winds from the West have been lighter and we
have observed cooler temperatures today. The low
since midnight has been a seasonable 24F, but
our high so far today of 32F is 10 degrees below
the daily normal of 42F. We had humidity in the
70’s today which made for a lingering distant fog.
We had a maximum of 60 miles for visibility in
the morning before the cloud increase and the snow
showers.
