LAST DAY OF THE YEAR SEES COLDEST TEMPERATURES
FOR THE SEASON THUS FAR

This morning’s low of 14F marks the coldest reading so far
this season, well below yesterday’s mark of 19F. Yesterday’s
midnight to midnight low was 16F, reached at midnight
last night. Tuesday’s average temperature of 22F was the
first day below the norm since the 20th, and before that,
the 12th. With a cold end to December, the month will
likely still finish above average for temperature.

Partly cloudy conditions have largely dominated today’s
skies with varying amount of sunshine. By the 1:00 PM EST
observation virga was present in all directions, falling
from scattered stratocumulus. A maximum reading of 28F
was recorded thus far.

Happy New Year from everyone at Blue Hill Observatory!
