BLUE HILL METEOROLOGICAL OBSERVATORY MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS 02186 FRIDAY OCTOBER 24 2003 DISCUSSION AT 11 A.M. After the first measurable snowfall yesterday of 0.5", we are left with a chilly, but beautiful day today. The sky at this hour is very well decorated, dotted by StratoCumulus (SC), a band of Cumulus/Moderate Cumulus (CU/MDT CU) offshore over the ocean, caused by the increased instability due to the cold airmass passing over the warmer ocean, and lastly patches of Alto-Cumulus Standing Lenticular (ACSL). Visibility is running between 80-90 miles, allowing for a wonderful view of the snow covered tops of the Monadnock range in New Hampshire. The maximum temperature yesterday reached 37 degrees, thus the record low maximum temperature for the date and all-time for October holds as 35 degrees.
