Today's light snow grains have accumulated enough to be seen on the ground but are not measurable through 1 p.m. The following are some stats which have been compared for the month of February and Winter 2002-2003 ending today. This data courtesy of Mike Iacono today and does not include February 28th although there should not be much change when we figure in today's numbers. Corrected mean: 23.7 is 34th coldest, 5th coldest in the last 30 years, and coldest since 23.6 in 1994 Max temp: 30.9 is 21st coldest Min temp: 16.6 is 39th coldest Precip: 5.76 inches is 14th wettest and wettest since 6.02 inches in 1999 Snowfall: 51.3 inches is 2nd snowiest on record behind 65.4 inches in 1969 Dec-Feb 2002-03 (Winter 2002-2003).................................. Corrected mean: 24.7 is tied for 19th coldest, tied for 4th coldest in the last 30 years, and coldest since 24.3 in 1993-94 Precip: 15.45 inches is 23rd wettest and wettest since 16.13 inches in 1998-99 Snowfall: 85.7 inches is 4th snowiest for DJF behind 117.4 inches in 1947-48, 91.2 inches in 1995-96, and 89.0 inches in 1922-23.
