AN ARCTIC AIRMASS ARRIVED EARLY THIS MORNING WITH PEAK WIND GUST TO 48 MPH NNW (Aerovane) AT 6:01 A.M. ASOS recorded a peak gust to 43 MPH NNW at 5:08 A.M. The arrival of an Arctic airmass was marked by northwest to northwest winds gusting over 40 MPH starting about 5 a.m. Temperatures fell from 18 degrees at 1 a.m. to a low of 9 degrees (8.6) between 7 and 8:22 a.m. The windchill temperatures dropped to 20 to 35 degrees below zero. The final snowfall figure for the snowstorm that ended early Monday afternoon was 5.0 inches with a maximim total of 10 inches on the ground at 1 p.m. This morning the total on the ground is 9 inches. Total melted precipitation for the event was 0.32 inch. 7 a.m. observation...
